"silverado, why don't you come to your senses?"
Well, I almost had a hero today. And I fantasized about him.See, I'm running late for work, and I can't find a parking place. What I mean is, THERE WERE NO PARKING PLACES. None. None. No parking spots. I checked the commuter spots by the BSU, I check the theatre and dance parking lot, I checked the geography building, I drove up and down every aisle of the dust bowl...with no luck. Finally, I just decided, screw this, I'm just gonna hafta go park somewhere illegal.
And that's when my almost-hero showed up. Some random guy walking by apparently noticed me biting my steering wheel in frustration and said, "Hey, I'm parked over there." I could've kissed him. Seriously. I was so grateful. Even if it was at the very back of the dust bowl.
But he was just an almost-hero. To be truly hero-like, he should have waited for me to park and then asked if I needed a ride. Because of course today's the day that I have not only my backpack and an armful of books, but also a Walmart bag full to take to the library. So I fantasized about him giving me a ride, but no such luck.
Instead, I got to walk a mile in the blazing sun carrying 30 lbs of books and was 20 minutes late for work.
but i get to see keri today, so yay!
unless that soup email meant she wasn't coming?
